Plot Summary

The story is set on what used to be called Planet Earth (now called Planet Mall) in the distant future. Everywhere on the planet the kids watch the same movies, wear the same fashions and think the same thoughts. All music is computer generated since the outlawing of musical instruments, and everyone downloads the same songs. However, resistance is growing, and an underground group of rebels known as the "Bohemians" plan to restore musical order by finding the lost axe that once belonged to a great and hairy guitar god; but to do this they need the one who is destined to lead them. Could the boy who calls himself Galileo be that person?

Venues

We Will Rock You opened in 2002 at the Dominion Theatre in London, England. The first North American venue is the Paris Las Vegas hotel and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show has had successful runs in Australia, Japan and Las Vegas, Nevada but have since closed. The most recent being the Vegas production which closed November 27, 2005. As of 2005 it is also showing in Spain, Russia, and Germany.

In 2005-06 the show is scheduled to open in Argentina, Canada, Chile, Portugal, and South Africa.

A North American tour is also in the works.
